When We Are Closedclosed

If you need help or advice regarding your health and the situation cannot reasonably wait until the surgery opens please contact the practice on 01332 203787 (minicom users as well) and you will be advised to call the NHS 111 telephone number.  This service is managed by Derbyshire Health United (DHU) which is a co-operative of qualified GPs from the Derby area based within the out-of-hours centre on Duffield Road.

A health care professional will answer your call and ask you for details of your problem. You may be offered telephone advice or asked to attend the out-of-hours centre to see one of the emergency care practitioners or a doctor/nurse. If patients are not well enough to travel and a home visit is deemed necessary this can still be offered. Patients should NOT arrive at the DHU centre without first telephoning for advice.

Derby Urgent Care Centre

Another option is the Derby Urgent Care at Entrance C, London Road Community Hospital, Off Osmaston Road, Derby DE1 2GD.  Tel 01332 224700

NHS 111 Service

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call 111 (freephone) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
