Friar Gate Surgery is a GP Partnership, meaning the GP Partners own the surgery and have an NHS GP Contract to provide a broad range of NHS Primary Care Services to the patients who are registered with us.
The purpose of a Patient Participation Group (PPG) is:
- To give patients the opportunity to meet and discuss topics of mutual interest with representatives of the surgery.
- To provide a way for patients to become more involved and make suggestions about the healthcare services they receive.
- To explore issues from patient complaints, compliments and patient surveys, to help improve service quality.
- To be involved in action plans and help monitor service improvements
- To support health awareness and wider patient education
We are looking for patients who are happy to work for the benefit of the whole patient group, not to bring individual issues to the group. Meetings will be in person and via Teams. If you have a few hours to spare once a month to attend meetings and to help with other events we would really appreciate hearing from you.
Join our Patient Participation Group
All registered patients are able to join our Patient Participation Group. People of all genders, ages, ethnicities, and those with health conditions and disabilities are encouraged to join.
